Pulse builds an advanced plastic card design wizard for AllTimePrint

AllTimePrint.com was originally built by Pulse Solutions in 2007, the website needed an overhaul to include a plastic card creation wizard as well as a new Web 2.0 look and feel.
The Pulse design team created a layout that not only showcased the plastic cards in an easy to browse fashion but also made the system fast to load and very intuitive to a normal user.
The website was built while reusing some of the existing code to keep the budget economical, we often reuse parts of existing systems that can be easily salvaged to save time and money.
PHP was used as the server side scripting language with MySQL as the backend, AJAX and JSON technologies were used to enable live plastic card designing and preview.
The most intricate part of the software was to ensure the design wizard worked in all browsers including the ipad so as to get the maximum amount of compatibility. The software was engineered to display a separate component to browsers that do not support all AJAX extensions making it compatible with both new and old browsers.
